Why the health issues?

As I have been juggling my own health battles over the past several years, many things have been concerning to me. Did you know that the current rates of cancer is rising.  That 1 out of 2 men and 1 out of 3 women will develop cancer within their lifetime. Did you know that 95% of all cancers are diet and environment related? Did you know that 2 out of 3 people are considered overweight and 1 in 3 are obese? Why is the United States of America ranked 37th by the World Health Organization for its overall healthy quality. What does all this mean?  It means the world in which we live in is not the same environment that was created millions of years ago.  It means that our bodies are being exposed to components that are highly affecting each and everyone of our physical, mental and emotional health.

Did you know that there are 77,000 man-made chemicals held within the environment all around you.  They have made their way into the water we drink, the food we eat, the air we breathe.  They are in our clothing, carpets, furniture, swimming pools and more.  Our bodies were not made to withstand constant exposure to these chemicals.  How do we know that our body is having a toxin overload?  We begin to have obvious symptoms such as a disease diagnosis, cancer, weight gain, anxiety, depression, fatigue, joint pain, learning disabilities, digestive issues, reproductive struggles, head aches and more.  The thing we don’t realize is that when these symptoms start to present themselves, we have already been in toxin overload for quite some time. So, naturally, we go to the doctor for help.  They provide a diagnosis and hand us a prescription in order to assist with the symptoms.  The part that bothers me is not being able to be provided the why.  Why did I get this diagnosis?  Why am I struggling with my health? We need to change our mindset and rather just accepting a diagnosis, we need to figure out the why?  Why are these symptoms present and how can I work at solving the root of our problem rather than just existing with a diagnosis and prescription in hand.  Instead of anti-anxiety medication, blood pressure medication, weight loss pills, fad diets, and more, lets listen to our body screaming “TOXIC OVERLOAD,” and assist our body with decreasing the toxins it is having a hard time purging.

Our liver is amazing and a protector to our body. Our liver processes everything that enters into our stomach and intestines.  It breaks down all fats and nutrients.  It has immune and hormone factors as well as protecting factors from bleeding, infections and imbalances.  It filters our blood while cleaning and clearing toxins, drugs, alcohol and poisonous substances. It is our bodies natural detox organ, secretly and quietly running in the background as we move through our day to day routine being exposed to countless chemicals. When our liver is overloaded, our health starts to break down.

I could provide you with a massive life overhaul where you change your diet, daily routine, makeup you wear, how you clean, and so much more, but that can be overwhelming and most people, wont do it.  So, I would rather provide you with simple and basic steps to begin your journey towards better health.    Here are a couple ways you can begin to help improve your health.

**** Dry Brushing – This assist with moving the lymphatic system, bringing toxins towards the liver in order to break down and empty through our bowels.  All you need to do is take 5 min prior to your shower and brush each part of your body in a motion moving TOWARDS your heart.  I do this each day directly before I shower.
